PALIMPSESTS

The artist uses plastic quotations - borrowing contours of forms in particular - from major figures in history such as Dürer and Piero della Francesca, to reinscribe them in her compositions for a homage and a playful transhistorical dialogue placed in the background to the sagacity of the viewer.

Profitant de la rétrospective consacrée à Hans Baldung Grien à Karlsruhe*, l'artiste a intégré un fragment de la reproduction de la fille aînée de Loth* dans la composition ; un ajout qui, de par ses relations érotiques troubles, prolonge les tensions.
