FABIENNE WEBER
UKIGUMO
Ukigumo, literally floating cloud in Japanese
Here the artist continues his quest for a suspended moving form.
His work is based on the use of a monomedium, 640g/m2 handmade paper, as both support and material. Each intervention transforms its surface, reveals its fibers, its internal tensions, reconfigures the space according to a tactile and intuitive dialogue. Light renews the work in its impermanence.
It is a sculptural, performative, and minimal approach. The ivory of the paper becomes a territory of silence and sliding.
